Having trouble getting started on your project? The Color-Helper will offer some ideas for color palettes. After you read in a starting color, the Color-Helper provides palettes based on three types of color schemes: Monochromatic, complementary and adjacent.

Monochromatic schemes suggest additional colors that are the same hue as the starting colors, but lighter and darker. These designs tend to be uncomplicated and usually calming.

Complementary schemes use the traditional color wheel to suggest colors that are opposite in hue to the starting color (e.g., classics like green and red). These schemes are usually a bit more bold and colorful.

Adjacent schemes use the traditional color wheel to suggest schemes that have similar color characteristics (e.g., warm or cool). These can be a bit more unusual, striking color combinations.
